TWILIGHT of the GODS ep 05 “I am Treason and Plunder and Poisoned Thought”-The Scapegoat GOD.

May 7, 2025 · by Jay Baker

TOTG Continued…

Leif struggles in despair causing the Wirding storms to intensify.  Visions of Leif’s horrific conquests now ravage Leif’s psyche and send him spinning into depths of fear and dispart.  Seeing Leif falter and unable to shake Leif’s distress, Loki lies to Leif and falsely claims to have caused Leif to commit those horrific sins in Leif’s memories. As Lief becomes convinced that Loki is responsible for Lief’s own horrible actions,  the Wirding storms calm, allowing Leif to focus his rage outward onto Loki, and  angrily shove Loki away.  Loki is hurt by the hate but absorbs the unfair sting of blame and continues forward, embodying the mantle of “Scapegoat God.”

I really enjoyed the surreal challenges of the magical space, the movement in andout of reshaping memories and the emotional geography of regret as both characters struggle with the consequences of their actions..
