ANIMATIC – What is this Madness? (part 1)

Having become suspicious of the surviving farmer family and a mysterious chained celler door, Lief decides to break the door open it. As the farmer begins to panic, Lief and Siegfried discover a young woman chained to floor. Furious, Lief attacks the farmer, demanding answers just as Egill, Seid-Kona, and the Wolf-man Ulfr return frantic to warn the team that the farmers have betrayed the team to the approaching Belverkrs. Seid-Kona is suddenly ambushed by the farm-mother who holds a knife to Seid-Kona’s throat and holds the team at bay, rejoicing that her son has devoutly informed the Odin’s Belverkrs. Just as The family begins to celebrate the team’ encroaching doom, Egill quietly enchants the knife to burn the mother’s hand. She drops the knife and Seid-Kona catches it, plunging the knife into the mother’s chest. The farmer lunges in rage but is stopped by a blow from Hervor’s sword. The two farmers fall. Concerned, Egill rushes to Seid-Kona’s aid, to which she slyly approves that Egill isn’t useless after all. They share a tender moment soon broken by the warning of approaching crows and distant sounds of the approaching Belverkrs.
